HCCF has grown from a small physician- and parent-led effort in 1991 into Hawaiʻi’s statewide childhood cancer support foundation, delivering financial relief, emotional care, survivor programs, and advocacy for 35 years.
We serve families across the State of Hawaiʻi facing childhood cancer. Our programs are funded by community and individual donations, grants, giving campaigns, and fundraisers. We receive no state or federal funding, and every dollar donated stays in Hawaiʻi.

Providing financial relief, emotional care, survivor programs, and advocacy for every Hawaiʻi family navigating childhood cancer.
Financial Assistance
Support for travel, housing, meals, utilities, transportation, and essential household bills during treatment.
Kōkua Baskets
Given to newly diagnosed children and their families, these baskets contain everything to help them have a better hospital stay.
Family Support Programs
Support groups, parent gatherings, educational workshops, and community events that reduce isolation and build connection.
Book Reimbursement
This program provides childhood cancer survivors who are attending college or a vocational training program with funds for the purchase of books, supplies, or equipment.
Frank Seleny College Scholarship
Awarded once a year, these scholarships help defray tuition costs for young adult survivors of childhood cancer. Download the Frank Seleny College Scholarship Application.

Community education, awareness campaigns, and partnerships that elevate the needs of Hawaiʻi’s keiki fighting cancer.

- Six, all free: financial assistance, kōkua baskets, family support programs, book reimbursement, the Frank Seleny College Scholarship, and advocacy and awareness.

- All funds donated to HCCF remain in Hawaiʻi and go toward direct financial assistance, emotional and educational support, and advocacy for our children and families. We receive no state or federal funding.
