Cancer and Teens; a Unique Struggle

Nearly 32% of children we serve, are teens. Parents have shared how devastating it was getting their son or daughter through all their childhood illnesses and owies, only to have them diagnosed with cancer as a teenager. One of our moms shared how she sent her seemingly, healthy daughter off to college only to bring her home with a cancer diagnosis, which changed her teen’s entire future.

One parent of an HCCF teen, recently shared this: “Tremendous support – allowed us to bring family to Hawaii to support Tamiyah and to offset the expenses of transportation, meals and staying connected to family/friends. -Kelvin B. HCCF serves Hawaii families with children birth to age 21 and all programs and services remain free of charge. Please help us continue to support all our families with your generous donations.
