Care & Compassion

Childhood cancer patients remain in treatment for an average of 1-3 years, which means the out-of-pocket expenses for each family can be staggering, costing up to tens of thousands of dollars. “Our young daughter Taj was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma three years ago. According to her oncological team the cancer is now categorised as terminal late stage.  A cancer journey at any age can take a serious toll on a family. In our case, it has taken a huge financial toll as we have had to be stay at home parents to care for our daughter and her 9 month old brother. As we have been unable to work, HCCF’s financial support has been invaluable to us as we continue to pursue alternative treatments for our daughter in hopes of a miracle. It has also allowed us to be together and enjoy every single day of our final days as a family of four. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.” -Mihana D. HCCF depends entirely upon individually donated funds, community and corporate contributions, in-kind donations, and grants to run our programs and services.
