Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We honor the children diagnosed with cancer, the medical professionals who compassionately treat them, the families who love and care for them, all the survivors and those who have lost their lives. At any given time in Hawaii, as many as 200 children are being treated for cancer.

It is the #1 cause of death in children. While great strides in research and treatment have been made, 1 in 8 children in Hawaii do not survive.

HCCF continues to assist, support and advocate for the needs of children diagnosed with cancer, their families, and the long-term survivors of childhood cancer.
