Dance-A-Thon Fundraiser for HCCF

On Sat., 9.28.19, Lyle and Rosanne Kaleikau and several members of their Ohana were joined by the Zumba community to put on a fantastic fundraiser to both honor the memory of the Kaleikau’s precious daughter Alohilani, who they lost at age 10 to an aggressive and rare leukemia, BPDCN on 11/30/2016, and to raise money for HCCF. Participants at this 3rd annual Dance-A-Thon, ranged in age from 2 to 91! Rosanne is a certified Zumba instructor and this was a touching, high-energy, laughter and love-filled celebration! They danced for two hours starting at just after 1pm; our executive director was amazed by this feat of endurance and that they did it with tremendous exuberance the entire time! Funds were raised through tickets, a bake sale, by purchasing shoyu chicken plates and through vendor donations. At the closing, Rosanne shared that through these Dance-A-Thons, they can give back to the organizations who supported their family during Alohilani’s treatment, and beyond. They raised a total of $2760 for HCCF! We wish to thank Lyle & Rosanne, their Ohana, the Zumba community and the various vendors for coming out to support this event; it was truly special and greatly appreciated! Your generous donations will make a significant difference in the lives of other HCCF families!
