Students of 5th grade teacher, Lisa Nakamoto, at Waipahu Elementary School, sold lemonade to raise funds for HCCF, the American Red Cross and theĀ Hawaiian Humane Society. HCCF received $220.55! The students created their own unique t-shirt designs to wear during their fundraiser and as a keepsake. They asked the reps from all 3 organization to sign them. The students were thoughtful, articulate and asked a lot of great questions about the mission and services of HCCF. Additionally, Ms. Nakamoto made our Executive Director a beautiful ribbon lei with their school colors. Mahalo Nui Loa to these amazing students and their wonderful teacher for their good works for Hawaii nonprofits!
